Bingo is great for your health!
Yes it’s true! A study has been done which has shown bingo players, whether young or old, performed better on tests by being faster and more accurate than non-bingo players. Julie Winstone, a cognitive psychologist from the University of Southampton said that the game’s tension, excitement and social aspect could all be beneficial to mental functions.
Ageing is known to affect many mental abilities, including speed, concentration, accuracy and pattern recognition, but Miss Winstone found that bingo required all those skills.
