888 Ladies Survey “Davina – You’re Hired”

England coach Fabio Capello’s future is still up in the air following England’s early departure from the World Cup, and there is still a week to go until the FA make its decision.  Well the nation (or we should say the women) have decided!

888ladies.com surveyed 2500 women across the UK to find out who they believe could do a better job than Capello at getting England back to top form in time for 2014, and Davina McCall came out on top!

Big Brother presenter Davina McCall was identified as being perfect woman for the job and she romped home with over half the votes (59%).  Loose Women star, Carol McGriffin received 24%, Katie Price received 11% and just 6% for Lily Allen .

In the Big Brother house only last week the English housemates defeated the German housemates in a penalty shoot-out, so maybe voters believe that Davina’s could help the England team to victory also.  One of the ladies mentioned that Davina would be great at helping out the England team with their personal issues so they could focus on football.  A different lady commented that “Carol McGriffin could really knock those boys into shape”.  Katie Price was definitely a wild card choice however it might be her ball skills that women thought could help..!

When it came to a man for the job, first place with over 45% of votes was the Radio1 DJ Chris Moyles.  Business Tycoon and star of The Apprentice, Sir Alan Sugar received 31% and comedian James Corden received 24%.

It’s probably not surprising that Chris was chosen as the ideal England football team coach candidate given his skills and ability when working with and cheering up tired celebrities on his early morning Radio1 breakfast show.   Sir Alan Sugar was definitely more of a surprise however it’s possible the ladies who voted decided his time with Tottenham Hotspur coupled with his no nonsense approach would be a winning formula!

Overall the consensus from 888ladies.com, one of the UK’s top online bingo sites is that yes Capello had a tough job on his hands, but it’s high time one of the national treasures steps in to take charge!
